Summary:
As was expected, CheckMeOut tonight lost their second in a row against a much more highly skilled team.
CheckMeOut never had a chance to be brutally honest, however they managed to concede less than 15, score a goal, courtesy of ring-in Ian Swan and kept the Strikers off the score sheet for 5 minutes.
McDonald tried valiantly to prevent the game being a complete and utter annihalation, and did so moderately well with several huge saves. With the Strikers practically setting up camp outside the goalie's D, McDonald faced near on a shot a minute. However, the Strikers are in a league of their own, and any team will be lucky to beat them this season.
Three Stars:
3rd Star: A. Watson - Got a lot of the ball, shut down a few plays and was trying hard all night.
2nd Star: L. McDonald - Faced shot after shot and managed to keep out at least 1 in 2, including several very big saves.
1st Star: I. Swan - It was clear that when Swanny was off, CheckMeOut lost their edge on the field, buried their only goal and had a few more opportunities also.
