Summary:
CheckMeOut once again faced a very strong opponent tonight in their Division A clash, coming up short, but showing some good signs along the way.
McDonald once again played very sharply in goal, keeping Manchester to just 7 goals, a total which just as easily may have been tripled. Roussos again picked up the scoring slack, drilling home his 3rd and now sits on top of the scorers ranks.
Butler produced his best game of the season following up last week's strong game with an ever stronger one tonight, Ashby tried hard all night and created plays, unfortunate not to score as was Watson who also played a very sound game, which included far more running than he's used to.
Once again however CheckMeOut were just outclassed by a team that last week defeated the Baysie Strikers. The team are looking forward to the future when Klaver returns from injury to take his position in goals once more so that CheckMeOut can run at full strength, until then it's just a matter of toiling and seeing what works, and hopefully securing their first win at some stage during the competition.
Three Stars:
3rd Star: M. Butler - Was the leading ball getter for CheckMeOut, producing many interceptions and some fantastic defensive and offensive plays all night.
2nd Star: C. Roussos - Scores CheckMeOut's only goal and was a catalyst to their offensive pressure.
1st Star: L. McDonald - Once again plays a best on field game producing dozens upon dozens of huge saves, preventing an even bigger blow-out.
