Summary:
A new team was introduced to the league this week to replace the now non-existant All That. Ironically, All That were kicked out of the league for not showing up. Well the new team Lee also did not show up, much to the disappointment of the team, myself and the 7 people who came out to support CheckMeOut. But thankfully all was not lost, when a practice match was organised.
CheckMeOut did not get off to a good start when within minutes of the start, the other team booted a goal to put them up 1-0.
But from then on it was all CheckMeOut. First 2 goals coming from Davis, the next from CheckMeOut striker Luke Ashby, a fourth from Sos and just to cap it off, a fifth from CheckMeOut goal keeper McDonald, his first ever goal, even if it was only a practice match. An unanswered 5 goals putting them up 5-1. The other team got a consolation goal 10 minutes before time. Final score: 5-2.
Klaver even made an appearance, in opposite team colours, to keep the remaining 2 minutes and even managed to rack up a save. But overall a disappointing night for all concerned.
