Summary:
Once again, CheckMeOut go down to the Baysie Strikers.
However, as with last week, there are many good things to come out of this week's loss. A somewhat understrength Baysie Strikers hit the field, but even if they had've fielded a full side, CheckMeOut would've given them a fair run around also.
Like is the form lately, CheckMeOut managed only one goal, but the stats do not prove a true indication on how close they came on a number of situations, opening their scoring in the first half, tying the game 1-1. From there, luck went the Strikers way, picking up another 4 unanswered goals before the final bell. Meanwhile, CheckMeOut could do little more than try to weather the storm.
Though it seemed CheckMeOut may have been over commiting to defence this week, the build-up for it's offense was working well.
CheckMeOut face a team they are yet to play - 1,2,3 YEAH, next week, which should make for an interesting game.
Three Stars:
3rd Star: A. Watson - Was a ball magnet all night, providing many good tackles and strikes.
2nd Star: M. Butler - Another strong showing from Butler, drags out the goalkeeper and two defenders to assist in Croft's empty-net goal.
1st Star: L. Ashby - Mr. Consistant was a thorn in the side of the Strikers, finishes with a gimme-goal and continues his solid rise to an allround player.
