Summary:
It was all CheckMeOut this week, one of the biggest wins of the season. NWV were reduced to rabble by a strong CheckMeOut side, Davis booting the first goal early to give the team quick lead.
A few minutes later, Lester was subbed on for his first appearance in the side. 8 seconds after he entered the court he had already scored. A wonderful start. A minute or so later, Lester had 2 goals beside his name as CheckMeOut started to stretch their legs and got away to a 3-0 lead.
Davis bagged another goal shortly after and the scoreline was 4-0. A little battle followed for a couple of minutes as NWV managed a few shots on goal but were shut down easily by the stand-in keeper Klaver. A last second goal by Templer put CheckMeOut in the lead 5-0 going into half time.
The second half wasn't as one sided as the first, but it was still all CheckMeOut. Davis bringing up his hat trick 2 minutes into the half with a good strike past the keeper into the top right corner.
Then Templer pulled off a pearler of a goal, volleying a pass off his chest, across a couple of defenders and volleyed it into the top left corner off his boot. A wonderful goal, that might be in with a chance of goal of the month this month. Davis followed this up with a relatively simple goal past Monkey Man who was out of his depth this game. A wonderful 4 goal effort from CheckMeOut's "rushing defender".
Just to add insult to injury, a minute or so later, Sos decided to join in the action and booted a goal himself to make the final score 9-0. A great effort by all, and a clean sheet for Klaver, who was quite pleased with his efforts afterwards. A great overall effort from CheckMeOut.
Three Stars:
Third Star: M. Templer - A good game from Temps saw him bag 2 goals and unlucky not to get a couple more.
Second Star: L. Cheung - 2 goals on debut delegate him 2nd star.
First Star: R. Davis - A great 4 goal effort definately deserves the first star for this week. The hapless NWV had no way of combatting his skill and charisma.
