Summary:
With the reserve goalkeeper in, CheckMeOut were looking for a big game, and got just that.
Though initially hitting a very dry first half, scoring just the single goal and heading into the second half with a 2-1 defecit, the scoring end payed dividends and CheckMeOut ran out fairly easy winners, 4-2.
Klaver didn't look comfortable to start off with, fumbling the ball on a routine save and later with a pass to the opposition costing CheckMeOut an early goal in from the foot of Chow Yun Fat, but he seemed to regain his confidence when Davis equalised, only to be given an absolute belting goal against through a fantastic top right shot by pube head.
But to CheckMeOut's credit they fought back, held Audio Kings scoreless in the 2nd half and bagged 3 goals of their own. Klaver made a further 3 stops to increase his overall save count to 4 and CheckMeOut are in business once more. Next week they look to capitalise with McDonald back for one game against Prackers before Klaver steps in for NWU.
Three Stars:
Third Star: A. Watson - Kept his head in numerous tense moments, slotted CheckMeOut's tying marker and was a threat all game except for a fresh-air shot late in the piece.
Second Star: M. Templer - Never effected the scorer, but three of the four goals came from assists by Stemps, who worked hard all night and impressed equally as much.
First Star: L. Ashby - Scores a bag of two goals as a result of some hard work by Templer and single handedly put the match out of Audio Kings' reach.
