Summary:
CheckMeOut came into the game with a slightly strange formation than what they're used to dealing with. With the injured striker Ashby out, Klaver stayed in goals and allowed McDonald to play on field. Though McDonald failed to score and team leader Davis also held goalless, CheckMeOut cruised to another victory, beating Galia(hacks) 5-2 in front of a scarce crowd.
As was the offensive pressure of CheckMeOut with Croft's absence, a 3 midfield and 2 striker formation came into play, albeit unwittingly, which in some cases worked well, did allow several one on ones with goaltender Klaver who gave up 2.
The game was almost highlight free, apart from Watson burying a goal from half court, and McDonald's acrobatic falling over. Though it wasn't all good news. Roussos will miss the game this week due to family commitments, and due to an all night affair of unnecessary hacking from Galia players to nearly all the team, Davis may also miss, leaving a scenario that will most likely involve once again, Klaver in goal and McDonald on field. Though McDonald was quoted as saying "I enjoyed every minute of it, and i'd be happy to do it again, even if i couldn't hit the side of a barn with my shot".
Three Stars:
3rd Star: M. Templer - Bags another goal and was a focal point all game.
2nd Star: C. Roussos - Picks up two more goals and provided plenty of midfield pressure.
1st Star: A. Watson - One goal short of a hat trick, played fantastic and buried one from half way after the half time whistle.
