Summary:

CheckMeOut had 3 wins on the trot, they had a week off, and they were facing Patos Locos. Last time, a draw suited CheckMeOut fine, but not this time. This time they were out for the win, and boy did they deliver. A nine goal effort, improving on the season's best of 8 goals in a game was how CheckMeOut responded as they demolished Patos Locos to keep their winning streak alive at 4, and keeping themselves right in the hunt for that last finals place.

Not bad for a team who up until the end of May were on a losing streak of three games in which they only scored 3. It seems CheckMeOut have finally found the offense they need to match it with the bigger sides. Pushing their goal difference which was absolutely destroyed following the previous meeting with the Gunnas to a measly 4 goals. CheckMeOut desperately must defeat the Gunnas or Chino in the coming weeks to set themselves up for a possible finals berth, which was considered before Croft's and Wato's departure as a fairy-tale.

The game itself was very tight in the opening, with neither team wanting to establish anything. A goal from Davis sparked the game on it's way, but Patos Locos quickly replied from point blank in front. It could've been a turning point in the game, pivotal to the result, but Patos Locos failed to capitalise and CheckMeOut buried 3 more goals in the half, including Templer's first goal since playing Patos Locos the first time this season. The score, a healthy 4-1 in favour of CheckMeOut.

The second half was not even close. CheckMeOut quite simply blew away their opposition firing home 3 goals in quick succession, and putting another 2 away in the process. Davis capping the game with his 3rd, Sos came close with a header, very close, but the resulting rebound off the post fell to Marty and he buried it home for number 3, he later went on to get another, doubling his goal tally from the start of the game. Sos got on the board later though, in a retributive sort of way from the poster, as the goalkeeper helped the ball into the back of his own net. McDonald the only player left out on the scorecard, but that's to be expected, playing 25 of a 30 minute game in goals.

Three Stars:

3rd Star: C. Roussos - Deserved more credit from the win, but walks away with a goal and a headed poster, marking the closest a header has ever come to goal.
2nd Star: R. Davis - Picks up 3 goals, normally warranting a 1st star, but not to be.
2nd Star: L. McDonald - Back in the keepers box and back to his best, proving to be a less is more player in goals. Stoned Patos Locos all night long.
2nd Star: M. Templer - Created all three first half goals, and had a hand in the goal CheckMeOut conceded in the first half too.
1st Star: M. Butler - Despite not being able to hit the side door of a barn in recent weeks, Marty pulls out an absolute blinder and snags 4 goals to lead CheckMeOut to a well earned victory.
