Summary:
All good things must come to an end, and with a severe thud, they did. But at least it wasn't 12-1 like last time.
CheckMeOut left with a loss for the first time in 7 weeks, but they can hold their heads high after only surrendering 4 against a Gunnas side which could be said to be misfiring, after missing countless shots, and being denied by Klavs for the others.
CheckMeOut failed to score, and only had a few good chances on goal, all which were turned aside by Champs League, as was to be expected, except for two. One which was adjudged to be inside the D from Sos, similar to his goal against Gunnas last time, and one from Davis which ricocheted off both goal posts before trickling back out onto the field.
Not much to be said about the game, as it was quite a non-event, with neither team doing a whole lot when they had the ball, quite a monotonous game by anyone's standards.
Three Stars:
3rd Star: R. Davis - Easily had CheckMeOut's best chance on goal, only to be denied by the posts.
2nd Star: D. Klaver - Put in a fairly strong show in front of the Gunnas, despite not getting a lot of help from the defence or offense.
1st Star: L. McDonald - Earned his stripes this game by playing in defence during the first half, and then coming in during the second half to try give the offence a lift, didn't stop.
